It still has the names on all the boxes! Handwritten, too. On the side it says it’s from Carlisle, PA, 1959.
Today I went to an estate sale and brought home a piece of post office. Now I finally have some place besides old suitcases to store my letters and stationery, once I get it clean. Also, I finally own a piece of post office. It’s not quite as extensively awesome as say, the full-sized, gold-framed-window, 100+ box wooden post office facade that’s for sale at the antique market in Wetumpka, Alabama, but, you know…baby steps.
