John Lennon was once asked in an interview “Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?”
Lennon replied “Ringo isn’t even the best drummer in The Beatles”
Oh Ringo. Seriously, though, I’ve never been a fan of “Octopus’s Garden,” but especially not since dating this guy who pointed out how flat Ringo is when he sings “gar-den.” Maybe if said guy hadn’t done such an incredible impersonation of the horrible flatness, it wouldn’t bother me as much, but now every time I hear the song those two syllables seem totally amplified in their off-key-ness. Eep.
